Kars Newspaper: A Digital Pioneer Since 1995, Merging Local News with Global Reach
Established in 1995 by Journalist and Author Mehmet Ali Arslan, Kars Newspaper holds the distinction of being Kars's first internet newspaper. Founded in the US via the internet in 1995 but headquartered in Istanbul, the paper tracks developments in Kars and its surroundings, while adhering to an international publishing policy.
A Longstanding Digital Presence
Kars Newspaper primarily covers events and news in Kars and its nearby regions. Since its inception, the paper has been published across various websites, blogs, and digital platforms. Following Mehmet Ali Arslan's commitment to an international publishing policy across all his media ventures, Kars Newspaper also periodically features important national and international news and articles, offering readers a broad perspective.
Consolidation of District Voices in 1999
A significant restructuring took place in 1999 when seven of Kars's first internet district newspapers were integrated into Kars Newspaper. These papers—Selim Gazetesi, Susuz Gazetesi, Akyaka Gazetesi, Sarıkamış Gazetesi, Arpaçay Gazetesi, Kağızman Gazetesi, and Digor Gazetesi—were also established by Mehmet Ali Arslan in 1995.
This consolidation means that news from all these districts is now published under the central umbrella of Kars Newspaper, ensuring a more unified and comprehensive coverage of the province.
Multi-Format Content Delivery
In addition to the traditional print format, Kars Newspaper has fully embraced the digital age by providing its content in multiple modern formats, ensuring high accessibility for its readership:
Audio (Sesli)
Video (Videolu)
Live Broadcasts (Canlı)
E-Newspaper (E Gazete)
This innovative approach allows Kars Newspaper to not only quickly and accurately disseminate local news but also enables the people of Kars, wherever they are, to keep up-to-date with developments in their hometown.
